Teletrade Discount?

I just received an e-mail from Teletrade giving me a $50 discount on any auction on Teletrade. And if I win an auction for less than $50, the item is sent to me for free.

I signed up for the Teletrade mailings about six months ago, but have never participated or bid on any auction. They sent an account number and password. I logged in and it worked.

If something is too good to be true, it probably is.

Does this sound legit to you guys? I mean, I can get a PCGS MS-66 merc for free.........

I know there is a buyer's fee (8%) and about $5 for shipping. But other than that, are there any catches or have any of you people received this?

I could have used that $50 discount last night. (I bought a San Diego commem.) That's only my second or third purchase through them. No problem whatsoever so far.

You might want to check those fees. My buyer's fee is 12%. (Maybe I'm the one that should check the fees.) Shipping is $5.

it will be the first coin i actually bid on at Teletrade - so in my case, their advertising paid off

 

I am a Teletrade customer and I didn't get an e-mail with a $50 discount. I am feeling underappreciated right now.

 

It sounds like they be encouraging people who have registered, but haven't been actively bidding.... I must admit that this has made me seriously surf their site for the first time!!!!

 

I've bought from them many times, unfortunately no discount code for me. They sure like to send me tons of other email though.

 

Two of my past winnings were lost in the mail and I never received them. Maybe my email met the same fate.

 

I get their emails, but I didn't get this one. I think they sometimes only send it out to like 500 or so members at a time.

I got the same email! I look at all thier auctions, but have never bid. I, too, am looking at a nice Mercury, hope it's not the same one, PocketChange! lol

 

This is 100% on the up-and-up. I used one last year and had no problems. It's just like getting free money in the mail. Sort of a late Christmas gift.

 

I received a message like that from them last year and got my $50 off, no problem.

 

My father received his last week and I got mine last night. A bidding I will go....

 

yes spent money by the bushel there which is now getting me mad. i will boycott teletrade if they give me bad treatment. they send me other emails informing me about their auctions but never a discount coupon

 

all i might ad spock1k is that i got mine a week or so ago. 1 of 2 things might have happened. 1) is maybe you havent gotten urs yet, or you have emails notifications turned off in your prefferances for this sort of thing (ok, i know that is 2 but hey) and 2) maybe as was suggested, they only do an emailing to a set number of people - a way to control their advertising costs....

I dont know, but i wouldnt take it personal

 

this si the second year this has happened. my mind is made up if i dont get a coupon this time around i will say good bye to teletrade and its not personal its business
