Has anyone who bought the toned version of Daniel Carr's 2014 Panama Centennial Anniversary medal (in copper) or 2014 copper One Amero noticed a change in color? I bought 2 of each and noticed yesterday of the difference. The difference in color runs from a subtle change to one that has changed dramatically. I actually like the new colors, but I would like it to stop and go no further. The biggest change is the disappearance of the red toning. Amero 1 Before Now Amero 2 Before Now Panama 1 Before Now Panama 2 Before Now
Pretty neat, I wonder what 3 more years will bring. I sold all mine a few years ago. I do have some color toned 2017 KOTCT pieces that I'll be watching to see if they turn. .
Got this silver piece to join the copper pieces I had. On my next submission to ANACS I'll get them to reholder it and put the obverse facing out.
Nice "Hooters"..., and cents..., and Gaudens... I plan to put up some Carr pieces to sell here (on this site), when I noticed that my three piece centennial set from 2016 had certs that had 2015 as the date. Is this correct, or do I have the wrong certs???
EDIT: for clarification, the tokens are dated 1916 . Still wondering if I have the correct certs for them. (tablet pics to follow soon) Thanks.
I received certificates with my 2016 ANTIQUED centennials. They sold only as a set (mintage 74): The satin-finish versions -- which were available individually -- did not include a certificate. At least mine didn't.
JohnDoe, those are the wrong certs for your 1oz silver 1916-2016 centennial rounds. Those certs describe the 1915 fantasy overstrikes of the Merc dime, SLQ and WLH. Here's one:
