From 1965-1969 all half dollars were at least 40% silver. Wheat cents were beginning to disappear from change. Whenever anything quits being common
they begin to be hoarded and start being sold. The current iteration are the
bulk lots of cents on ebay guaranteed to be copper pre-1982 with no zincolns.
When wheat cents were 2 cents each and steel cents were three cents loose
cents were run down conveyor belts under powerful electro magnets and steel
cents disappeared from circulation almost overnight.

Yes I remember him, and there was another guy on CCF ( can't remember his name ) but your post reminded me I had a couple of bags from one of them I bought 20+ years ago I was too busy at the time, so I just stashed them. Found one still sealed, have to look more to see if I still have the other or already opened it.... Thanks Green for the reminder.

It’s a euphemism for “a long time ago”

Yeah I didn't know if he was just saying it happened a long time ago or something about the actual stone age lol. Thanks.

I don’t think they had coins during the actual Stone Age :)

Maybe he meant the 1960s ... the Stoned Age ....

I've been hoarding cents on/off since the 1970s.
Never really "searched" them, never really been interested in pennies.
So I consider them all "unsearched".

Sooner or later, or maybe my kids will just cash 'em all in.

Without even reading the rest of the thread I can promise you the guy is a clown that absolutely and without question would lie (and has many, many times). In fact I've going through a number of his click bait videos addressing issues within in a couple of past threads if you wish to search them out.

Please understand that I'm not saying this as an attack upon you, but only because I know you're new and have more respect for folks in your situation than the aforementioned. Take as you will.
