    Wow, what a note. I wonder where it spent its life hiding to stay perfect like that.

    You do know that it's just coincidence that the serial number starts with the letter B, it's not really from the New York District !! LOL.....

    In all seriousness, that's one nice looking note. I really wish the BEP would have made a better effort to get back to the quality of designs we had 100 years ago.

    On a side note, it's a shame the serial wasn't 22 lower, that would have made for an even more interesting piece.

    awsome note RickeyB, just awsome...

    is it me, or did it take quite a while to arrive?

    I would assume it was sent registered mail and that can take weeks to arrive.

    Hey Daggerjohn....you are correct. It did.
    Two reasons....the Dealer (one of) I work with knows me pretty well so he held the note for me with a modest down payment. It took me a few weeks to pay it off and then about 7-10 days to get it to me...

    When I purchase notes, I always ask if I can use the image they posted until the note arrives. Then I re-scan it and place it on my (new site location) and my archives for my family if I kick the ole bucket anytime soon.
    So both you and Gatzdon are right ontrack with why it took so long. This is by far one of the best large size notes I have, and no doubt one of the most expensive ones thus far. If I have a good year in 2008 I am planning on the following;

    1. JackAss note in CHCU64 or above
    2. New York Battleship $2 in CHCU or better
    3. $1 Educational in CHCU or better....

    I have 4 note's on bid at the moment 3 NY small size (1 is a star) and the elusive Fr#1258 10cent Liberty fractional in chcu65...we will see tomorrow if it all comes thru or not. I owe, I owe it's off to work I go....
    I,owe...I owe....

    Regards,

    RickieB
