Should I have this graded?

I would like to get some opinions on having this GSA Morgan dollar graded. If I wanted to sell this, should I have it graded or just sell as shown? I would also appreciate some help with the grading. I hope the pictures can show enough details that the grade can be determined. With my limited knowledge of Morgans, I would guess it to be around MS62. Am I even close with this grade?

If it grades high enough, I was thinking it might be helpful to have it graded.

    Thanks for any help offered.

Carson City Dollars sell well, especially certified ones. Looks like a 63-64. I would send it in if were mine.

I would be in the 62-63 camp. Just remember if you sent it in, do not take it out of the packaging. Send it in just the way it is now.

I would not bother having it graded myself at MS62ish. I'm not sure you would re-coup the cost of grading.
If you do have it graded I suggest NGC over PCGS for GSA Morgans. NGC places a band around the GSA plastic where PCGS places it in an even larger plastic case/slab and huge.jpg

Personally, I wouldn't bother and see no real reason to think it necessary, at least as a stand-alone.

Wow I'm really bad on grading Morgans also. The bag marks really mess me up. Without looking, what's that coin in 62-63 grade worth graded?

CC coins are always worth getting graded.

This one could go either way. Personally I am in the "not graded" camp. There are just so darned many nice Morgan's out there.

CC Morgans are worth getting graded because a lot of them are fakes and its best to know that its the real deal.

The real answer to the OP question is the math. Purchase price + grading fee as compared to average selling price of MS62 graded GSA Morgans.

About $25 more than one not graded. And it will probably cost you $25 or more to get it graded.

I would leave it, it's cool how it is, there's nothing to fix! Sure it's a tad baggy in the facial region, but check out all the cool die cracks spider-webbing the letters and date of the obverse! Same on the reverse, and some bold die clashes to the right of the eagle, I think it's great!!

This one is already authenticated. It’s a GSA.

It’s definitely not worth sending in in my opinion just sell as is if you want to sell.

Thank you everyone for your opinion on the 1883 CC dollar. It seems I should just leave it as is.
The value, plus my cost would not benefit me to send it in.ll. I appreciate everyone taking the time to reply.
