Very Cool... How long does it take for you to create something like this? If it's been asked and answered before I missed it and apologize. Take Care Ben
I always like seeing your coins I think you are very talented. And I hope you keep posting your newest carvings. But I am curious to see if you have you ever carved Clad coinage??? Or would you have to carve too deep in order to reach the copper to get a two tone affect??? If thats the case, Would zinc lincolns work??? The copper layer isnt very thick on those.
Another amazing piece of work. Thanks for sharing your wonderful works of numismatic art with us...Mike
BTW, what inspired you to get started in coin carvings billzach? What started you? Whatever it was, I am sure glad you did. :thumb: Phoenix
Before i retired a fellow worker showed me a hobo nickel and asked me if i knew anyone that could carve one, i said i thought i could, that was 11 years ago..It,s a great hobby, but i,ve been aiming to switch over to gun and knife engraving for 3 or 4 years and will probably wake up one morning before long and say, this is the day i,m going to switch and leave the coin carving to new coin carvers..
That will be a sad day for all of us that really admire your work - maybe someday I can get one before that day comes!!! You have a great nack for it, no one can deny!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
