It has seen a lot of years. Unfortunately it is a common date, but still worth a dollar or so. Condition is the most important thing. There are coins that are rare, and sometimes there are coins that are rare in higher grades. My favorite example is the 1940 Irish Penny. There was a world coin dealer that offered $100 to anyone that could show him an uncirculated 1940 Irish Penny. He has been shown 2. It is a scarce coin circulated up to XF or AU, but when something gets issued in the beginning years of WWII in a poor country, there aren't that many people that can afford to put that away - you need to eat.

Okay. Well quick question? I have more coins that i need to find out about. Do i post on this same thread or start a qhole new thread? Seem much simpler to just post on here instead of creating 1000 threads.

Honestly, you should do your own research on the coins first and then only post the ones that really stump you or the ones that really stand out to you.

Doing the research before posting will help educate you on the coins you have and ones you may want to collect in the future.

But to answer your question, a new thread per coin is best.

Good luck and welcome to coin talk.

here's a good place to start for general information ==> usacoinbook.com
menu is on the left hand side for various denominations.

also a "Redbook" is good to have as a handy paper reference.

then you may get into looking for "mint errors" and stuff .. just remember most 99.9% or more of stuff is damage, PMD, circulation wear, etc.

I do my own research first. I am real quick to learn as i said before. But I like others opinions. Can i not post a picture of my coins? The ones i am proud of? Or is this the wrong forum for asking the value of what's it worth? I can sit here all day and tell you thats a million dollar coin in my eyes.. But to someone with a trained eye and can answer it quicker would make sense to me. Googling is the quickest way to get mislead or tons and tons and tons of information that possibly is confusing or takes you 100 different directions. If i wanted to do 100% of my own research then why would i need to be on here?

And not a very welcoming talk. Telling me to do my own research then i can basically only ask about what stumps me or stands out... To me that was a rude statement .to be honest. "Honestly" i don't believe it says in the rules that i cannot ask about a coin on here... Does it? Or is this to lowly for you guys that this is all you've done all your life? Not important enough? If i have a question about how much is my coin worth i think i should be able to ask it. And what if, someone catches something I didn't see before? A million reason to post and ask. And dont welcome me unless it positive. Telling me to go buy a book and figure it out for myself is rude. And kick me off of here if need be. Personally if this is the welcoming community and i get told by all to buy a book and do my own research... Well maybe i was to quick to jump the gun in my first comment about seeing a community of helpful and informative people. My dad always told me, if you can help someone then do it because you want to help and because you care .and he also said, the old adage about nothing nice to say. So... Here goes. I will go buy a book, sit down, and figure it our for myself.. Edited~ read the rules

Do not be scared off by that. some members forgot what it was like to be new into coins. I too found that rude. you can ask any questions you want about coins here. post any coins here. you will know when you are ready to buy some coins books. Learning about coins is a life long thing... it never ends. I look forward to seeing more coins from you. most members here will try to help you with questions about coins and opinions here.

A ten-year-old collector could have answered your question on this coin, that's what we mean by learn a few things first. Do you got a Red Book? Get one of those, read it, and learn. Then ask. There's your winning strategy, dood. Having said that, that's a nice find. From that standpoint, we are impressed, don't get that wrong.

Uhhh.... @Pickett ... @frankjg was being very cordial to you and trying to help. He was not being disrespectful in any way. There are a myriad of ranges of experience on this website, but learning yourself is really half the fun of Coin Collecting. If you want to know what something is worth, Look It Up! That is exactly what you are asking someone else to do.

Also, please refrain from using vulgar language, as that is a sure-fire way to get you kicked out of the Forum.

If you are stuck, this is a great place to get information.

FYI... There are very few pennies 1910 and beyond worth more than a few dollars unless in really good condition. You can see this for yourself on many websites, like said above.

    My favorite is:

    https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/united-states/

And you can grade coins visually, yourself, here:

I hope you have good luck!

This is the response of someone who is not interested in coin collecting and simply wants us to do the work for him, thinking he’s going to make a quick buck off of pocket change.

Good luck with that attitude in life.

Nobody was being rude at first until you came with the attitude. Serious question, why would you want to post all of your coins and see what everyone else think they are worth? Google has plenty of resources available and it helps you learn. With that said people are here to help you along your way and most people won't care if you post one or a thousand coins as long as you are trying to learn. I doubt though that many will be willing to help with the profanity that you spewed and being so touchy and aggressive when nobody was trying to offend you.
