I know this isn't worth anything just thought it was kind of weird.
My son found a 1917 wheat penny in his change from school.
Part of the face of the coin was covered with a small piece of clear tape that protected it from all the wear the rest of the coin got. No telling how long that tape was stuck there.

Its a cool feeling to find history in your pocket change.

Even if it's only worth a dime or whatever, it's still a keeper.
It's easy to buy coins. But it's exciting and challenging to find them in the wild. The circulated ones are not worth as much, but it's more fun for me anyway to find them that way.

When is the last time you found a 100+ year old coin in your change?
For me it was about 6 years ago, and the coin was a 1906 Indian head cent.
It's in my "shadow box" with my 1808 8 Reales I found when I was a kid... and a few other treasures.

It's amazing that any wheat cents can still be found in population. I've got jars and jars of them from my roll hunting days.

I think the 17's have a DDO. Can't tell on that pic though.
