I was thinking if members are kind enough to post pictures of their DOUBLED DIE EXAMPLES. This might help new members realize what their really to look for. Also let them know of the ones that are really out there in circulation per say. This just might cut down on some of the. REALLY!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! WHERE ON THE COIN DO YOU SEE DOUBLING!!!! Thoughts and replys. Pictures and a brief explanation of the type of doubled die your showing. I'll start with a 1939 reverse jefferson nickel. Doubling on the last 2 L's and O in monticello you can also see the doubling the letter of FIVE CENTS. Found this becauce @V. Kurt Bellman told me this version of this doubled die shows up better on th FIVE CENT letters. Was a huge tip. Thanks kurt
I hate DD designations. Many of the VAMs on Peace Dollars - even under magnification - I cannot tell what they're going on about. I think it is neat that some people like these things but in my very narrow way of thinking they're the most over-hyped nonsense in coin collecting. GAH. Carry on.
Is doubling not a correct term. Looks like i typed doubled die about 5 times. Where is my error kind sir.
