Hi All - Another one from my inherited world travels coin box! Trying to figure out more info on this - I THINK its an 1894-1907 coin, but I dont know if possible to figure out the exact date. There were also (2) 1 mace 4.4 candreen coins - I assume all same date range. Sorry for pic s- Small coin and even my Macro isnt being much use.
A little bit of Google-fu reveals that these were not dated. You can see here for a bit more information: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces7386.html And here for a bit of value info: https://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide...nts-y-200-1890-1908-cuid-1050020-duid-1291545 I'd say yours is probably in the EF range, and is probably worth around $50. Cool coin, I like the dragon.
Yes, they are both abbreviations for "Extra Fine" or "Extremely Fine", depending on who you ask. EF makes sense to me, since they are E-words.... but some graders use XF because they're silly.
A few foreign makers of clothing uses EL and EEL instead of XL and XXL, but the latter is a wee bit more common
