The seller must make so much money that he/she cannot stop.

This coin looks like it was made from Quickset Concrete.

There are plenty of people who just dont know the difference and have no idea or experience with ancients. That is why it keeps happening. These guys/gals/individual have been discussed plenty here. From what I have read the person seems unstable and perhaps mentally ill.

Interesting. I just checked out all of his merchandise on eBay and it all has a dusty clay cast look. It's possible that this seller is making these himself.

Call it a bad attitude but if the write-up given these coins does not scare you off from wanting anything to do with this operation, perhaps you deserve to pay the price of admission to the real world. I assume Ken was referring to the seller as unstable but people who send money to people who say some of the garbage in that listing are not in full control either.

Another thing that bugs me is misattribution by dealers on ebay, even some of the reputable ones. For example - I purchased a coin the seller claimed to be a sestertius and when I got it in the mail I put it on the scale and found it to be an as.

You couldn't tell because the reverse type was identical. But the fact is the dude missed by 14 grams. Another time I bought a coin based on its attribution as a double sestertius but it turned out to be a dupondius. Maddening to be sure.

There was a discussion on this seller a few days ago: a very, very curious operation the more I think about it. This person is clearly acting in bad faith in a rational, intelligent manner: the volume of fakes they're selling, the username changes, their practice of making actual threats to negative-feedback-leavers, etc. Which makes the spiel in the item description even more unaccountable than it'd probably be otherwise. It has something like the form of a cutesey down-home "complete amateur trying their best" ambience, and I can see why a deceitful seller would want to take that approach, but on actual reading it has this utterly deranged, incoherent quality that comes across as a red flag and nothing else. It reads, as noted, as if the writer is dealing with some problem or other, but that surely can't be the case when set against the relative sophistication (if that's the word) of the rest of the operation.

They should be reported to the management if they haven't already, anyway.

They have been reported many times. They continue to operate.

Yeah, but they're a charity that sends crayons to starving children in Africa. Same guys as know_uz_ark or some such. I've reported them probably 20+ times

As far as I can tell, reporting criminals to eBay does nothing. However, I do it fairly often anyway.

On the lower right of each item there is an inconspicuous place labeled
    report item
    Screen Shot 2018-08-12 at 12.10.13 PM.png

    Click on it.
[You may need to log into eBay next]
    Select "Report Category"
    "prohibited and restricted items"
Reason for Report, select [well down the list]
    "stamps, currency, and coins"
and for a "Detailed reason" select
"Replica coins, replica paper money, and replica stamps"

Then, wait and perhaps watch the item to see if anything happens. Years ago eBay used to remove new sellers who got numerous fake reports. Now there are fakesellers with hundreds of feedback (often remarkably favorable) that haven't been removed in spite of very many fake reports filed against them. Whether they still remove new sellers who are reported numerous times or not I don't know.

BTW, copied this from their "description" statement..."We don't ship to Israel Italy or near Greece, Peru Columbia Arizona New York City Mexico City or North Carolina Arizona NJ for more than one reason. We cancel 1/2 the orders from the Great State of Florida as well."
