Here is a pieces I bought recently from a seller with good feedback selling Gold Roman and Byzantine coins. Its about 1.2cm in circumference.

Any opinions on it would be great. I tried to look it up and could find other variations but not this specific one on wildwind. Seaby RC 4192. Approx. ??

It's Aelia Eudocia, not Aelia Flaccilla. See RIC X, 253, 281, and 335.

thanks for the info. I had a minor concern with the die break. I didn't think gold coins could break dies and the flaking near the cross. sad but its returnable.

It is an obvious fake for other reasons.

Ebay is not your friend if you are a beginner. Unfortunately feedback means nothing on there anymore as even the most notorious fake sellers can get negative feedback erased by offering a refund. Most of the stuff that is at or below market value on there is fake. Genuine coins are usually way overpriced and even some of the way overpriced coins are fake!

My advice, buy from known dealers. There are several that post here and many of those sell on eBay (the exceptions to the rule above). Short of that stick to Vcoins and known Auction houses (CNG, Naville etc.).

Edit to add: sorry about the suspect coin :(
