2000 P Virginia State Quarter Error ?

    Kinda looks like the mast thing. Yeah we can see it clearly now. And it looks raised. Think mint damaged. Might be an only one in the universe. @Rick Stachowski. Think this member might shine some light on it.

    It look like a die break. Was it raised or incused? Maybe struck through some sort of small metal?

    It's glue . which made an impression when the coin got struck .

    So is this coin struck through or a die gouge? I don't doubt either scenario but I am a little confused and just want to be sure of what to look for. You are saying a piece of dried glue fell onto the planchet before the strike but the OP says the line is raised.

    Try removing the glue with acetone( soak it for a few hours).

    Tried the acetonefor 2 hours and 20 minutes but it's still there

    Struck through for me also. Indeed, it was a nice one (Boat Paddle) :).

    Yes, struck through is common. If you can get it to the right collector, you might be able to get couple dollars for it.
