I think your LIBERTY photo demonstrates classic MDD (Machine Damage Doubling).

I have something else for the OP. Did you get permission to post those photos? There is such a thing as copyright infringement!

Don't be so hard on the OP. He can claim the educational purpose fair use. We all have a lot to learn about how much he still has to learn. That's mostly why I come here - to gain information about the hobby's disinformation. ;)

@MrCoins101 You don't have to be a jerk here and insult longtime members. They know what they are talking about.

This coin clearly exhibits DDD/MD. It is not a doubled die.

Note that DDD will appear to create doubling toward the rims. MD will decrease the size of the devices with shelflike doubling.

Thanks for reminding me...I need to reply to some posts in the error forum and "hog" more topics/give my honest opinion.

  12. Though i think that spotting a genuine dd is harder than most think, alot of people are just telling you the truth. But, you definetly have a point lots of members just enjoy to shut you and your precious coins down and its super demeaning. Happens to me too dont let it bother you

Even though this thread goes back several years, the similar complaints come up with increasing frequency. Much may be initiated by YouTube coin "experts" talking about the average person making $$thousands or $$millions by finding rare coin in bank rolls, pocket change, various coin machines reject tray, and suggesting it is very frequent. But they are making money off of subscriptions and not by looking themselves. I am very happy to have members say that something is wrong about anyone's assertions on a particular coin. No one wants to feel disappointed because they are told they are wrong, if but accuracy and good information is what one must learn to distinguish variations, there is a learning period. My hat is off to those who can suffer the arrows of disappointment from new members ( well I have to keep my hat on since I have 'covid hair') down to the shoulders. Thanks , Jim
