Not sure if my feelings are supposed be hurt if someone doesn't offer their opinion ... but just in case it's supposed too
Well i've had to ask myself that same exact question whenever i hear some people responses ... And believe it not everyone that post comments are not always as innocent and honest as some people would like to believe . But hey ... No sense in beating a dead horse right . So I'll just focus my postive energy by continuing to share nice coins. But for future reference please spare me from all the JMO or IMO if it isn't coming from a genuine place that's all .
Well obviously something bothered you when you responded to me at first.. So here, this is for you Nice and early for breakfast!
Yes something did bother me ... The enormous amount of horse manure that i have to hear in these groups sometimes . But thanks for the milk and cookies .
Do you realize that you are not forced to be here? You are allowed to leave if you'd like. I, for one, won't miss you.
@MrCoins101 That's your opinion.. I don't talk anything of what you have stated.. I'm a serious coin collector sharing my knowledge. If you can't deal with it then numismatics is not for you.
I think your coin has Die Deterioration Doubling. I say this due to the direction of the double, it is in a radial alignment. Not in a circumference alignment as in most Hub Doubling coins. The double is on the "RT" but does not show on the "E" right next to the "R". To me this is a sign of detioration for each design and letter has different streses put on them due to the motion of metal during the strike. To start any post with the word "NO" is not a good way to get anyone to listen to what you have to say. It is not nice, and pushes people away. I understand the reason for taking a defensive reaction toward that. JMO.
I'm not seeing anything that wouldn't show on a SMS . With that said, here a 1963 FS-805 I own . Now I don't need to combined them .
The members here love to tell folks that they have a true doubled die coin. It's fun to be able to tell a new member they actually found one. This is the place to get honest opinions from those that know what they are talking about.
Well i for one am not passive aggressive person by a long shot . So forgive me if I come off as being too blunt or too direct for some peoples taste . And besides ... im speaking solely from what Ive been seeing and hearing in this coin talk circle alot of times just like now . In any case . I'll try to work on my honesty a little better for any sensitive souls in the group . And I still disagree with the DDD opinion . So please don't take this personal . IJMO
And im not forcing you to reply to my post or coin either ... And trust me when I say I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep if you didn't
For the record ... And for those who don't mind promoting or encouraging people that provide bad information that could potentially misleads our future coin enthusiast this is what DDD actually looks like .
If no one else will say it, I will. Some of us (including me) think that a goodly sized number of "varieties" with Wexler pictures and Wexler numbers are NOT legit. Many are just machine doubling.
I also know the error-ref.com website I have shared it many times with new members to help them with their mint error and variety questions
No, Wexler is way wrongER than PCGS. You will note that Wexler attribution doesn't get much love from either NGC or PCGS. Don't get me wrong, some Wexlers are just fine, but there are way too many that he has catalogued that nobody else will corroborate.
Ok granted that some people may tend to make mistakes V. Kurt because we are human . But in this particular case and this particular topic we all can see that these photos demonstrate what most of us commonly know as Die deterioration . Infact it can clearly be seen in the photos and I dont believe that it takes a rocket scientist to figure out why it's called Die deterioration doubling ... So can we please focus on the subject at hand . And let the people who say they've been doing this a very long time finish teaching us about this new form of DDD that's on the dime in the photos ...
