Hello everyone. Here again, the newbie asking questions. Need some advice regarding a 1988 P dime with a very frosty planchet on the observe and reverse with no designer initials and the letters on both sides are not quite normal. Since I am taking photos of a cell phone device I hope they are helpful and visible. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thank you.

It was struck with a worn die. The die was overused that's why it looks mushy.
The missing initials is probably from a grease filled die also related to a worn die. This is a common issue on Dimes.

I don't really bother with missing initials or mint marks. I just collect major Mint Errors.

Aww. I learn something new today thank you very much I was unaware of this. I watch many dealers sell other coins with no initials I thought I got lucky. I will keep searching. I really appreciate your help. Thank you again. Best wishes

I learned my lesson. The first day I become a member here I found out that the coin I purchase at eBay was a fake. Thank goodness I decided to post pictures everyone was very helpful and I got my money back. Now I just purchase slab coins since they are done by NGC. Also, I would like to ask you a question I watch Heritage Coins sell this coins for a high premium just for a modern coin with no flaws is hard to believe that people are actually spending a lot of money just for a coin that looks good with no errors. Do you believe the hype? or is just hype?
