So I just got these 1776-1976 Ike Dollars, 20 Brilliant Unc, and one of them seems to have some type of error on the word dollar on the reverse. Here are some pictures, tell me what you guys think. Thanks

    Welcome to CT!!

Looks to me like it is a greased filled die error. The reverse die was not cleaned properly after greasing it. Causing some of the grease to fill in part of the word dollar.

This is really common and adds no value unless a lot of the devices are missing.

So, its pretty common? Not worth putting anymore time into it? Thanks for the knowledge. I appricaite it.

Besides the grease error the reverse looks really good. It is definitely worth keeping in my book. Maybe not worth grading though. But hey I love Ikes and have a soft spot for em.
