I am not sure I see any clash marks. What I do see is a later die state coin with possibly some minor die cracks or chips.

Thanks for looking. I took the pictures and indicated what I see. There is so much with all the tree limbs to see it good in pictures. I didn't see an overlay anywhere to compare to.

I don't believe there are any overlays of these statehood quarters, it would be very time consuming.

Not biting. There's random garbage all OVER Staties and ATB's, and they don't amount to a pinched loaf.

That looks a lot like a neck and chin to me. I think it would be worth your time to get an overlay to confirm it is in the right position. Seems likely that a die clash with that much detail in the trees could easily cause a lot of little die chips as that tree is known for having them without any clash. I will have to keep an eye on the ones I search for any similarities with this one. Keep us posted of you can confirm it!

Mmm. You can wade into that Charter Oak mess if you have the stomach for it. I don’t. Prepare to find Waldo in there. :D

Thanks. I tried to do an overlay, but don't have the software or at least don't know how to manipulate what I have to do it. May have to download something to do one. IF I can get it, I'll post back here.

In all that chaos I do think I see the pony tail and his chin? What about the obverse, any tree limbs on it?

I always try to keep my USB’s and my microscopes from intermingling.

Finally got time to be able to produce an overlay.

Very nice work! Will you post a close up picture of the whole reverse of your coin? Based on the location of your neck and chin photo I am thinking Winner- Winner, Chicken Dinner!
