What is up with our beloved Miss Liberty Balding and who clipped ears? Any good guidelines on how to price this?
Here is some info you may find helpful. https://www.pcgs.com/Photograde/ http://coinauctionshelp.com/liberty-v-nickel-value/
You might want to pick up a copy of the Red Book. Current or a few years old will work and save you having to take photos, upload them and typing.
It is already on the works sir, I bartered with a person who handed me the wrong coin to hand me one, a gentleman from one of my earlier posts guided me to get a brand used one, for a new one will soon be coming out. Thank you kindly for the advice you and him both.
If you cannot find a price for a coin in the price guides that usual means that it's value is really low. They may list only the higher Grades for modern coins.
Keep looking. Hint: The link in post #4 is for Liberty or "V" Nickels which is what you originally posted. An 1870 Nickel does not have the Liberty design. Dig a little in that link and you'll find what you want. (not trying to be rude. IMO, as you poke around, you'll find other interesting things that will help you learn about coin collecting)
Sir hoopster, rude, mysterious, blunt, hint, however way you lead the way, I will follow and learn, for a lot of you guys know more than I do. Thank you kindly sir.
