Yep, I'm pretty familiar with the Leniency of grading standards for gold, but this is ridiculous: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1850-20-Go...706025?hash=item33f02b5de9:g:Q6sAAOSwtp9bKRx6
When I took Brian Silliman's grading course, the most trouble I had was I kept undergrading ALL gold. By that course, that coin is indeed what an MS60 SHOULD look like.
No matter . . . any seller would be very hard pressed to get me to even consider buying a coin looking like that. There are enough better looking 1850 double eagles floating around for a lot less money.
Yup but did you read the seller's description? There's only 10 in that grade! Makes me want to rush out and get one. Lol
A MS60 isn't supposed to be a pretty coin. My problem isn't with the chatter which is grade appropriate for a MS60 (and a "C" coin). My problem is with appears to be significant rub to me. I think it would be better in a high grade AU holder.
2x 1965 Washies, 1x 2014 Kennedy and lately 2x Golden Dollars back from the soda machine. The 65s, one is a red paint jukebox special and the other has been through the wars (it's not even flat anymore).
