Looks OK to me, just remember your protected by eBay. Now would I bid on it, no, I would feel better if it were already graded by one of top TPG.
Looks like a nice authentic coin, however if your not in a rush to own this coin, I would wait till you find a certified one if that is what you prefer. I am not a Morgan collector, so I am not sure if this is a key coin or just a year where there are quantities to be had . If these are fairly common, you maybe able to find a certified one without too much trouble. You may pay more ,but the old saying buy what you like, then you have what you want instead of wishing you had waited and purchased a certified coin. You could always send this coin in for grading if you feel it warrants the extra cost. I personally would hunt for one in the grade range where the work has been applied to the purchase your hunting already. This coin being a Carson City mintage will end up going at a fairly high price I suspect. I do not buy from sellers that do not accept returns , but this is a personal decision. I like to be able to send something back if it is not as good as displayed in the sellers photos.I would dig deeper into this sellers history . I see he has only 17 recent transactions , and has been around but has changed his name for some reason. I would look into that prior to purchase. Go to his transaction info, and search his eBay History. People change their names for many reasons , but why change your name if your selling is going good . Or is this a way to try and hide past issues . I think you may be wise to search this fellow and find out more about who he is . It says 100 % positive for the last 17 transactions and year. If you want to be certain that the coins you buy are a 100% authentic I would recommend investing in a precious metals verifier. I bought one and I feel supper confident about any coins I buy! Nice looking, authentic Morgan. Bid may seem low (currently about $330) but I suspect it will go for about $600 by the time bidding ends.
Looks like a real nice coin. The seller has a good feedback /w no neg.'s You could test with an inexpensive small neo. earth magnet,and the drop test,f sounds like silver I would think your o.k. Price so far seems in line, good luck
I strongly recommend AGAINST doing the drop test for anything that's worth more than junk/generic silver value. If the coin is really Unc, you DO NOT want to risk causing additional scratches and marks on the surface. In addition, if you use a magnet, check the edge instead of the Obv/Rev surfaces for the same reason. Better yet, get feedback from experienced collectors on sites like this as you continue to build your knowledge of non-bullion related coins (which the OP is doing)
a lot of items are going cheap on ebay until close to the auction end or until you put in a decent bid, only to find you have already been outbid.
Thank you everyone for your opinions. I will probably not bid on this one. I've found a couple Ebayers that I trust so I normally buy from them for coins of higher values. I usually weigh any silver coins that I purchase as well. Once again, thank you everyone for responding to my post. Sometimes the internet can be your friend. lol

Wow! Nicely toned coin and its priced about right from what I've seen. I'm not good at grading coins higher than XF45 so I would be more comfortable with ones already professionally graded.
I am not a Morgan collector but to me that coin has outstanding eye appeal. Good luck with your search.

When I click on the link that you posted it shows an 1881-CC Morgan being sold by Great Southern Coin Co., but - it says the coin is no longer being offered for sale, even though the auction time hasn't expired - I wonder why. This company has a very liberal return policy - why did you say they don't accept returns? I bought a beautiful Standing Liberty Quarter from these people that was listed as Uncirculated. It had Full Head and looked beautiful but it wasn't Mint State which knocked the value down well below what I had paid. I called and said I wanted to return the coin, they emailed me a return label postage paid no hassle, no questions asked, and my refund was processed as soon as they received the coin - no delay.
Ebay has started the practice of redirecting you to a different auction if you click on a link to an auction that has ended. When you click on his link at the top you will notice it says: The listing you’re looking for is no longer available. Check out this similar item we found for you. If you see that, and click on the word "listing", it will then take you to the actual auction you were looking for. If you do that you will see that that seller does not accept returns. Which is meaningless as all you have to do is file a SNAD claim(significantly not as described) and ebay will side with you and require them to accept the return. Even if it IS as described.
