    Pretty sure Cheech is a "ma'am". ;)

With a weight at 3.11 grams, the next steps are to make absolutely sure that it's a D mint-mark and a small date. Clear close-up photos are what we'll need.

Since only a couple of examples of 1982-D small-date copper cents have turned up, it's extremely unlikely that you've found one of them -- but with photos, we can help you decide for yourself.

You want 1992p+d cam. 1998 1999 and 2000 wam. The 92p+d cam are extra rare. You might want to check your 92's

Haha this started back in 2016. Our friend @Cheech9712 may have partied too hard on the recent holiday and seems to have resurrected several old dead threads. :p

No. that is clearly a large date. FYI - welcome to the forum. Also, you should start your own thread if you have a question. It's not considered polite to hijack someone else's thread with questions about your own coin, even if it is in the same vein. Right @paddyman98 ? ;)

    Large date...keep dreaming!

Notice how different the small date looks from your coin:

[IMG]1982 D 3.1 Large date.It has alittle machine doubling on the 2 and 8 so not saying it's a small date but always confused myself on this one.⏫[IMG]1982 3.1 copper Large Date.⏫[IMG]1982 3.1 copper Small Date!⏫[IMG]1982 D 2.5 zinc Large Date.[IMG]1982 2.5 zinc Large Date.⏫[IMG]1982 2.5 zinc Small Date.⏫ Yes ive weigh them all Fyi so no ned too ask.1982 D 3.1 copper Small Date is a pain in the ass to find if ever and 1982 2.5 zinc Small Date is the two im to Find. I thought I would post to show examples of the different varieties since this one gets confused all the time. And the San Francisco or West Point or Philadelphia minted is still a almost impossible challenge identifying them apart.
