Found this CRH and a bit confused on the crack itself. Just past the top of the Memorial the crack appears to go incused and then under the D in UNITED to the rim. Also obverse has what looks like doubling on the beard at chin area. Could all of this just be a plating issue? What's the blue on Lincoln?

It looks like a die crack to me. It can be hard to tell on Plated Cents
once the plating has been preforated and a reaction has started on the zinc.

May have just been my pic settings. I'll have to take another look.

These early zincolns tend to change colors pretty easy, especially after a wash cycle in someone's jean pockets. Some of the spots looked like corrosion. I was just wondering why you featured the photo, plus being a little ornery.

I agree with Alurid that it is a die crack.

I'm going to be a little ornery myself and say you should read full post.:dead:

That is a well struck cent, nothing out of the ordinary.

That is a die crack known as a 'lightning strike", since it goes to/thru the Lincoln Memorial.

Thanks for the info @TheFinn Is there really any collectability to these as I have a couple dozen set aside? Some have several cracks. One more question is how does the crack not run through the D but under it? It's as if the planchet may have been cracked before stricking .
