New pictures of an old friend - an 1870 Seated Dollar minted at Carson City.
This one is ex. Bowers & Merena, 1988 auction.

1870 is the commonest of the CC Seated Dollars. This one has some lustre remaining which I tried to capture with my photos.

How would you grade her today?

    Thank you, all.
Bowers and Merena graded this VF35 in the 1988 auction catalogue.
However, based on your comments and also comparing with graded examples in the Heritage Archives, I am tending a little higher.
The reverse better struck than the obverse.

    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

To me, ANYBODY who has this graded higher or the same as the 1877 half on another thread needs their eyeglasses replaced.
