I'm glad someone has a sense of humor around here! Thanks for reviving this old thread. Here are some nickels a friend picked up for me on a trip to the states last year. 2005 Westward Journey set. 2005 US 5 c x 6 obv.JPG 2005 US 5 c x 6 rev.JPG

I think if you started your own thread in the What’s It Worth forum, you’d get some responses.

I picked this the other day on E-Bay. I was the only bidder. The seller listed the coin as an ANACS coin. Nobody buys MS-67 coins in ANACS holders, at least on E-Bay(I'm sure some do). Since I am nosy I took a peek at the listing. Look what I found hiding under an incorrect heading. $21

That sure is a handsome Jefferson nickel there! Got to be one of the best coin designs ever. I still love the so called "Buffalos" even more. Here is a 1914 US 5 cent nickel, not in the best of condition, still over 100 years old. It probably circulated all during WWI and the great depression. 1914 P US 5 c obv.JPG 1914 P US 5 c rev.JPG

Nice coin. FYI, silver nickels were only minted 1942 through 1945.

Some idiot passing off stolen coin collection coins.........Even back in the 1950s I never saw a V nickel, or barber dime, or Indian head cent in circulation. I did a lot of roll hunting back then too. Nice find for you, by the way. I am sure you will appreciate it more than the person who put it back in circulation.

Same here, I've never found anything that old in change before, and probably never will again. I can remember seeing a buffalo in change, but that was probably in the early 1960s... it probably was somebody who helped themselves to somebody's collection and/or had no idea about it.
