I'm confused, I was looking at 2013 coin talk discussion about the value of the 1957 nickel. this coin has full steps, and is in 65-66 condition but I am not close to know what I'm talking about. It doesn't have a mint mark but it shines like a Proof?
You'd need clearer pictures of the actual steps to be able to determine if it would be considered "full steps".
The coin looks like a proof coin in which case the steps are irrelevant. That is a designation reserved for superlatively struck circulation coins.
I wish we could rate these threads. I am about a 2/10 on this one. Initially I wasn't thinking proof because of the rims. But the obverse certainly looks like a proof. I wasn't seeing full steps, but as a proof it is disqualified from that designation as Mike and Rick already pointed out.
I appreciate your input, however, I'm disappointed that it is a proof but this is how you learn. But, it is still a pretty coin. Thank you,
