How long would you consider it acceptable to wait for export licenses to be granted for coins ?
Some time ago I won a couple of denarii at auction, the TOS was 3 months for licenses to be issued but we are well past that now.
I've contacted the vendor who cannot give any firm guarantee as to when they will be issued and put it down to the existing political difficulties.

Hello @tbc , I ordered most of my coins from dealers in Israel and an average length of time for the Israel Antiquities Authority to grant an Export Licence was 2 to 3 weeks. Then shipping and processing through US Customs was another 2 to 3 weeks. I hope this helps.

Carausius Brother, can you spare a sestertius?

It took 4 months for a dealer to secure export licenses from Italy for me recently. Whether the dealer applied for the permits promptly after I ordered the coins is anyone's guess. I presume they applied promptly.

that's a bummer man....idk, according to what you want... 90 days seems like a long to me, esp. waiting for coins... i'd just ask for my money back and find another dealer who can ship faster...

I've waited 6+ months multiple times for export licenses.

4-5 months is normal. There's nothing the firm can do about it. They submit the request and have to wait.

Bureaucracy! And it's not only in foreign countries. I've been waiting for a building permit for nearly 3 months. Live by the old military saying" "Hurry up and wait".

One of the perks of buying from firms in San Marino (like Artemide) is that you don't have to wait for the permits. I'm waiting for an Italian coin I won in May. I'm hoping I'll get it by the end of the summer...
