Just received this coin and wanted to show it off and would like to hear your observations of the coin. I see the chopped letter C in AMERICA. Also doubling of the date? I believe the reverse hub IIA? Many spike marks on the reverse around many of the stars and the numeral 5 and along the bottom of STA in the word STATES. I also believe the coin to be in AU condition? New Folder(1) 420.jpg New Folder(1) 421.jpg

Hi. It certainly looks like an AU coin to me. Pretty sharp. Welcome.

Thank you!! I'll try to get a better closeup of the date and post that soon.

Nice. Could be RPD 309, but hard to tell with the shadow under the date. The 1 is certainly large.

I agree with AU, and yes, it is an 1868 reverse of 67. The spikes on the reverse are what I call die fatigue spikes. They occur where a deep device on the die meets the field.

Can't be sure if there is an RPD, but if it is it's very minor.
