Acetone

    When you clean your coins in Acetone, is this what the grading companies classify as "cleaned with AU details".

    No. Acetone is used as a bath. No rubbing involved. Done properly it would not harm the coin.

    Acetone doesn't strip off any of the metal.
    It works to get rid of organic gunk. There are many things it won't remove.
