I have this half dollar that i found. I think its cool but not sure if I should send it to be graded. Seems like it could be an error coin, let me know what you think
I agree with Fred, (though he is an expert and I am not, so listen to him instead of me anyway). If it would have been all copper instead of leaving some silver color on the obverse, and there was not major porosity on the surfaces, (two HUGE ifs), then the possibility of a missing clad layer could have been further entertained. The porosity immediately points to acid, and the silver color on the obverse guarantees it.
You would actually send a Mint Error to have it attributed. Grading and attribution are 2 different things. No need for your coin since it's not a Mint Error.
