I have this 1990 D Nickel in great condition. I was wondering if i sent this to get graded would it come back with the grade of it having full step designation?

From what I've read, during a grading process when looking for FS they look at how many lines are on that particular year some are 5 some are 6 (Don't remember the dates) but they look for VARY distinct lines to count the steps as full steps, Including any debris/scuffs/brakes in the steps themselves. Only vary vary small defects are tolerated and usually only on older coins (40's 50's), which is why they are so rare at older dates.

When posting pics about Full Steps make sure the step area is lit from the south, not the north.
