I have a penny that I have not known what to do with! It is missing the 4th number in the date and some info on the back. What is this?
It means that part of the design on the die was filled grease or debris when the coin was struck. It is a common occurrence.
It's worth more than that in copper value. I'd keep the bugger. You never know who could take a liking to it and offer $5 for it. Put it on Ebay.
