Die Crack on 1965 quarter?

    This is a 1965 quarter. Just wondering if the line in the fold area of the wing-around 11o’clock is anything to get excited about?

    Is it "into" the wing or does it extend up "out" of the design? It looks like a cut to me...

    (I.e., a "valley" or a "mountain ridge")

    Based on your pic it doesn't appear to be a die crack IMO PMD.(post mint damage)

    A die crack is visible as a raised design element. That being the case, it would be one of the first elements to get worn off on a circulated coin such as your quarter.

    It looks like the “crack” is only on the wing.
