Hi everyone Sorry I had been away for long time. Work is a killer. I am going to England Nottingham for 2 months starting 24th of September. Any idea where to find coins in Nottingham? Also I want to know about lottery uk. Can I buy lottery ticket while I am there and is it allowed for visitors from outsieo UK ro participate in lottery? And possible retailers to buy tickets from I have some extra Egyptian coins I can take with me and exchange with any member living in Nottingham and may be in london
If you ever come over to the States and fly into Philadelphia, I'll meet you to pick up nice condition Egyptian pieces.
Not just scratch cards, you can buy a lottery ticket for Lotto or the bigger Euromillions. You must be physically in the UK at the time of purchase. There are many retail outlets that sell them, especially newsagents and service stations, also online Prizes are tax free.
I don`t know. Unlike the US lottery the UK and Euromillions lotteries (both run by the same company) the winner can remain anonymous. If the jackpot is £40 million or £262 million you actually receive that amount, not annual payments and it is all tax free, they will even open a private bank account for you so your own bank don`t have knowledge of the win. I recall several years ago an Aussie guy on holiday won over £10 million and took it all home.
I read that online purchase is conitioned by having a bank account in the UK. Is why i am looking for a ticket purchase from a retailer. Which one is better lotto or euromillions? And how much does it cost to buy a ticket for a jackpot?))
In the furure if I manage to travel to the US, I will make sure take some coins with me for US members too))
Oh that is super. It is best to stay occult from tax ripping. If I win such money I will not bring it home lol. In Egypt, they would take helluva % of any income whatever it is
Some nice reasons to consider. I would just leave the money there. On scratch tickets here, ( at least in Massachusetts) the most you can get paid over the counter is $600.00 with no taxes. Over that and you have to redeem the ticket at Lottery Headquarters ( in Braintree which is a day trip for me) and you get nailed 40% before you get any of the winnings. And that does not include State taxes. Not sure how much you can claim over the counter on Lotto but even if you win the big one it's the same. Canada got it right also, no taxes.
Oh yes you must have a bank account to play online. Lotto is £2 per line and Euromillions is £2.50 per line. I always played the Lotto but they increased the cost, added more numbers and reduced the prizes. The last 3 years I play the Euromillions 4 lines twice per week £20. I have a few small wins each month, few years ago I got £2200.00 online. If you win, just remember who advised you
Yes there is a coin shop in Nottingham, it is called Collectors World. It is 5 minutes drive from the city centre. I have visited once and thought things were priced quite high. If you are looking for gold bullion there is a quality independent jeweler in the city centre that may have stock and his prices ( for cash ) are the closest to spot you will find. If you need any other tips just ask.
Is it close to Nottingham University hospital? It is my first time there. I will have offline map to help me find places
Nice) so i can buy physical tickets of euromillions in the UK also? I will remember of course)))) Jackpot^^
