The penny in the case, has some interesting marks on it. Can anyone share their thoughts? Never been taken out of the case either? I cant find it online anywhere or anything about it

I'm looking at a lot of 'noise' in the first photo, and I see a proof coin (normal) in the second one. What is it you want us to see?

Possibly some contamination (sneeze) before it was sealed in the case?

Are you sure they're not on the lens itself? Proofs are highly reflective and can sometimes pickup noise on the holder and make you think it's on the coin........

Proofs are not perfect coins, but if those streaks by LIBERTY are on the coin,
this could be a quality control issue, and whoever encased it at the mint contaminated it somehow. It touched something.
I don't think there's anything you can do about it. There are people here who might suggest taking it out of the holder and perhaps acetone might help. I don't know, and I assume you want to keep it inside the holder. Because once you take it out, then what?

Sometimes you eat the bear, and sometimes your 1979-S cent proof has scratches on it.

Impaired proof, impairment occurred before it was put in the holder. Not an error, no premium, infact value is significantly reduced.
