I'm in the same camp. Looks cleaned. The color (pink) is off. I hope I'm wrong. Claw already pulled the trigger.
Well see when it gets here. Either way, it’s a significant upgrade from my current 1835 5 cent as shown below .
I think 90% of all old silver and copper has been cleaned. People cleaned their coins routinely in those days. How old is the cleaning, and is it market acceptable are more important.
I AGREE IT looks cleaned ,tone looks wrong ones l have and seen are not that bright but think its real
Here's the 5 Cent piece. Received it the other day. I just quickly cropped it but it is on a photographic white card. Flash bounced off of a white wall to it's north, so shadows are going south (down) on it. @Michael K @Randy Abercrombie @Cheech9712 @Oldhoopster @Mike Thorne @Dynoking @Larry E
