Is the small date valuable or a large date Is? Cause I have a small date 1982. I'm newer too. Just need a little more Info about it.
Most people think they have an Super Duper RARE 1982 D Small date copper cent. There's only a few found ==> http://www.numismaticnews.net/article/rare-1982-d-small-date-copper-found but in 1982 they transitioned from Copper to Copper plated Zinc. Most ppl have the copper plated zinc. Read more about it here ==> https://www.usacoinbook.com/coins/559/small-cents/lincoln-memorial-cent/1982-P/copper-small-date/ People always assume they have "a winner" when in fact greater than 99.99% don't.
First of All that hole states LARGE DATE which it is properly attributed. If you look at the picture on that one link I sent .. the 2nd one. Did you read it first?? it clearly is a LARGE DATE. Look at how the lower part of the small date 2 bows out. Your cent does not ... and you may want to start your own thread rather than hijack someone elses.
only thing I asked is to know a little more about large dates and small dates. Unsure about it. No one was hijacking nothing you ack like someone else can't ask something on there thread. Don't have to be rude to someone really.
Besides the 1982-D copper small date (only 1 exists as far as I know), will another one turn up one day? Maybe. The small date Philly (no mint mark) in copper 3.1 grams OR zinc 2.5 grams have value in excellent condition. They made 17 billion cents in 1982 and basically all of the large dates, and all of the Denver coins are just a penny.
