EBay auction score, just got it yesterday. Full steps, toning, and a cool looking split at the lower serif of the P Mint mark.

    That is quite freaking neat.
I'm going to hold back on the FS until a better clear steps photo provided.
I find FS is going to be unlikely here.

Very cool. What do you plan to house it in?

Well all my raw coins I house in world premier coin slabs. The hard part with errors is measuring the diameter and finding an insert that will work.

I would think it would have to rattle around in a quarter slab.

With the extent of the broadstrike, I’d guess a quarter insert would be quite nice.

The coin measures at about 23mm. I might be able to make a 20 cent piece insert work. Those are 22mm. Maybe cut a bit out of the insert, wouldnt be the first time.

I was thinking some foreign coin slab would have the right size.

Here is a pic showing the steps a little better. My usb microscope isn't cooperating tonight. Pretty sure it's full steps. No die weakness at all.

FS is really difficult on these old guys, and I think the broadstruck would also affect the steps. It's close for sure but I am not seeing it all the way.

I'll try to get a usb microscope pic tomorrow. Honestly I'm not great at distinguishing FS but this one is at least close.

Imho. There all there. Looks like 6 full steps to me. Very cool coin!! i don't know how i missed that one. I am pursuing war nickel errors rite now. I would have been a player on that one for sure. Nice coin at a nice price.
