1937 wheat need more pro opinion please

    1937 no date wheat on the reverse in between the D and S it looks like a second S i think its called a drop die im not sure lol im new any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

    Yes i think thats what im asking lol it looks like it has another S in between the D and S does it look like that to you a droped diy is what i was told

    When I said it took a hit IMO it wasn't during the minting process it was after it left the mint so it's PMD (Post Mint Damage) not a mint error.JMO

    I don't think it's a dropped letter. The D has an indent that appears to line up with the "defect" which would make it unlikely that it was a dropped S. The coin also has other indents showing in the pic so IMO it is more likely to be PMD

    Thank you i also noticed it has a like blob in between the B and E on liberty what could that be. It goes up about hqlf way of the 2 letters

    Die chip. These are very common on cents in the 50's. The even have a name for it - BIE, where the "I" is the chip. Google it and you can confirm that's what you have. As with many minor errors, a BIE really doesn't add any extra value. If you really want to have some fun, try putting together a 1950-1958 PDS set of BIEs. Cheap but challenging.

    Ok nice i think i will try that i found 5 40s whests and 2 1937 wheats in a box over the weekend
