I will be 82 in July, been Collecting Coins & Currency since I was 12 or so and still have a lot of the original sets.
There was a rare as heck 1951 Ford V8 two door hard top coupe for sale at a used car lot near home back in 1961 when I got my license. It was powder blue two tone with a white top and it had the obligatory sun visor and spotlight too, and a very cheap $195. I was 17 so the salesman said I had to have one of my parents come to buy it for me since state law said I had to be 18 to buy a car. Mom and Dad were Chevy people so they would not even go look at this very fine car. A few days later they found this '53 Chevy that required a quart of oil whenever I got my dollar's worth of gas. It was cool, but no V8 coupe, so I sold it a few weeks after we bought it.
Interesting. 69 here but only collecting coins for 63 years. First coin was a 1918/17-D Buffalo nickel in good condition for $20. Still have it.
