Hey you Michigan guys, I know, I visit my folks this year, wow. Come on out to AZ, except the weather might shock ya, it was so cold today I had to wear a flannel !!!
I buy for myself all year long so I dont consider anything I would buy this time of year as present for myself. My wife told me that she bought me something nice for my collection. I cant wait to see what it is.
A while ago I had ordered the Hungarian "Elizabeth" coin (which commemorates the 800th anniversary of her birth) as it nicely complements my German coin issued on the same occasion. And just yesterday I received the Hungarian piece, so I consider that to be a Christmas present that I bought for myself. The coin from Hungary -- http://www.penzvero.hu/prodimgview?front,731 http://www.penzvero.hu/prodimgview?back,731 -- and the one from Germany: http://www.pressedienst-numismatik.de/images/stories/2007_21/10-euro-e-v-thueringen-rs-download.jpg http://www.pressedienst-numismatik.de/images/stories/2007_21/10-euro-e-v-thueringen-vs-download.jpg Christian
ROTFLOL - NOW you know why I stick to the ethical sellers on e-bay and SHUN my local coin dealer! Good one Taurus!
Received a nice order of misc. from the mint but they are all gifts for other people. I know better than to even go close to any coin shops or shows this time of year. It's always tempting but I have never been able to control myself. Plus, I have already been warned by the wife!!!
I got a scale so I can finally figure out which of my 1982 cents are copper. It's a cheap one and is only accurate to 0.1 gram, but it will serve the purpose.
1922 Plain Lincoln Cent in a MS grade. Now entire set from 09S to present all MS. Encludes MS 14D, 55 Double Die, 72 Double Die, etc. I tried to photo the entire album but didn't come out to well. I hate to remove the plastic slides to take the photos so everything comes out with to much glare. Will post the entire set when I figure out how to take the photos without all the glare.
PLEASE DO! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: IS the 09 S VDB in MS also? Wow. Those 14 D's are real hard to find in MS, and can get pretty pricey when you do. Phoenix
Haven't been buying many coins lately, but I did buy this 1883 No Cents nickel a couple days ago. I guess it's kind of a gift to myself, for my Type Set. Graded MS63 by PCGS
I bought a 2007 Sacajawea proof. If I have any money left after Christmas, I'll head back to the coin shop.
At a new coin shop today, BU 1954 Quarter, VF 1932 Quarter, some wheat cents, a mercury dime, a buffalo nickel, and some others. My brother and I dropped $30, I guess that is enough for a gift.
Well, I dont celebrate Christmas... but recently I purchased 3 North Africa Notes (as seen in the paper forum "some of my notes" thread). :thumb:
