Second, and last, box of halves for this week resulted in a gold-plated commemorative JFK ender, 2 40%’s, a ‘77 die crack into forehead (my first; rare?), and a ‘96 die crack bust to edge of coin (fairly common). All the good stuff came out of the last 10 rolls...I’m satisfied!

    Until next week, HH everyone

The really cool thing is when I dumped my clad halves at the end, it filled the bag AND THE TELLER LET ME DUMP IT OUT AND CHECK IT ON THE BANK'S TABLE. 5 came from the bag! Nice teller. He said I won the jackpot and was happy to let me look!

I didn’t open the roll, so I don’t exactly know what the coin looks like. I’m saving ender rolls for now. I’ve 4 so far this month.

I went through a box of pennies and my very best find was a 1889 indian head cent and I also found a whole role of wheats and a 1901 Indian head

I always had better luck with nickels, personally.

Half dollars if I could get 'em (which I seldom could).

Nickels if I can't get halves.

I forgot to mention the coin counter at 1 of the banks I stopped at last night was being cleaned by a maintenance technician. He had a business envelope half full of coins from inside the machine. I asked him if I could have the coins, but he said he was required to give them to a teller at the bank. He remarked many of the coins were foreign.

I asked why so many coins weren’t properly counted. He said people pour their coins in too fast and the coins overflow the internal hopper.

He was a nice guy and didn’t mind my watching him and asking questions.

Too bad I couldn’t buy the coins from him, but oh well.

@SlipperySocks, I don’t believe the commemorative will have any added value (to me).

I’m considering selling my ender rolls online in the future. There seems to be a market for them. For now the rolls simply go into my safe with the rest of my treasures, firearms, knives, etc. :)

I agree I can rarely get half dollars but I was very lucky while going through the nickels, I got an entire roll of war nickels

Interesting approach, selling mysteries. I just think it is a very attractive coin. Most of the plated ones coat the entire coin and.....meh.

You should talk to the bank tellers and try to come back when he does maintenance again. At my bank, they’re not allowed to keep the offsort coins that don’t go into the reject slot (there’s a second, hidden tray). They ship them off when they open it, but every time I’m there, they give me everything in the bin without looking at it. I’ve received a few dollars and some nice foreign coins to include a new £1 coin that way.
