    I hit the monthly Greater Atlanta Coin Show on Sunday and found some fun stuff. 7 coins in all. I don’t normally buy that much at once but the dealer accepted some modern gold I had in trade.

    AR Tetradrachm. Seleucis and Pieria. Antioch, struck 248-249 AD.

    Obverse: AVTOK K M IOVΛI ΦIΛIΠΠOC CEB, laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right seen from the behind.
    Reverse: ΔHMAPX ЄΞ OVCIAC YΠATOΔ, eagle standing left, wings open, with wreath in beak; ANTIOXIA / SC in exergue.

    I’m a sucker for dark patina in the fields with metal showing in the letters/images.
