Bought a $390 partial Brinks box today just to change things up. No silver enders, but spotted these guys, hoping the rest of the box is part of a dump! I think I have found a total of 3 1987s in all my CRH before this!
Cool find and pretty long odds for that to happen! Unfortunately, like most enders they seem to have just a bit of wrapping machine damage
Since they're 1987 Kennedy halves, they MUST HAVE BEEN cut from mint sets. That's the only way they were distributed.
@ace71499 , @vintagemintage , @V. Kurt Bellman , @Cheech9712 . Thanks for your replies. This partial Brinks box, while producing no silver, did have a great many NIFCs and mint set coins that were likely part of somebody’s collection until recently. Here is the tally of “keepers”: (10) 1987-P (7) 1987-D (7) 2002+ (39) 1974 - 2001 AU / MS (2) 1974-D DDO I’ll be upgrading the Grandkids Dansco albums and my duplicate tubes with many of these. I’m especially happy about finding the 1987 coins. Below is a picture of some of what I found. Oh, I went back to the same bank and bought the second box which was unopened. Did not find any notable enders but still hopeful I will find more of this collection when I go through the box
Finished going through the second Brink's box and found (3) 40%ers and 31 NIFCs. The 31 NIFCs is a record for me for one box of halves.
It’s been at least a month and a half since I’ve done boxes as there is been a lot to be done around the house, but been getting a lot of CWR and have come across these in last week. I think the break was good.
