Slabbed ancients.....yay or nay?

    @dougsmit coinweek has posted other videos of world coins/US coins being graded at NGC and NGC even has videos of their own.....there are people that take out your coins and enter them into the system and put it into flips then it goes to the graders who grade it. Afterwards another group of people put them in slabs, put the inserts in, take pics, ship it, etc.

    Oh, I'm not an ancients collector. I collect mostly 19th century coinage. I'm good friends with Peter Tompa though, so I've developed an appreciation for them over the years, and I pick up some from time to time.

    I am very much pro-slabbing, and slab/cross my "modern" (classic) world type and date sets with NGC. So I have a lot of experience in being pro-slab in a market where a lot of collectors are against it. Having said that, I just don't see the point in slabbing pre-screw press coins.
