    I
I grasp that. I'm just curious what the approx value might have been if it were the real deal? That's all. I felt it was too good to be true (if ya read my comment in the thread). I'm new to the coin collecting world and curious of what a coin as such (being the real deal, of course), would be valued at.

It's hard to put a price on something like that. I found where a few in MS62 sold for about $200 each. That was about two years ago.

But a diminished proof would only sell for a dollar or even less.

I've been involved with full steps for years. I got the (Jefferson full step sickness) in the mid 60's. I contend not only should we be looking @ the cat in the window but we should include the steps to the left and the right . Thx, for letting me hitch a ride. dynasaurdave.

EDIT: I didn't realize this thread was 7 years old.

Your picture #1 shows the bottom steps blending into the wall at the right edge of those steps. Is that a technical takeaway from a full FS?

This shows a full and crisp FS with no blending anywhere.

I don't no much but on my 1990 Nicole D, FS
On back I count five steps in center, three steps on far right of building and two steps on the left of the building and all kinds of patterns in the Windows on side of building and pickets all across the top of building, pretty wild ,never seen nothing like it, but not in very good shape, any ideas what it might be worth,? Did i find my treasure finally??? Lol..

The hubs were re-worked and you will find that most of the nickels now have full steps

I have a 1971 D Jefferson Nickel with full steps that have very minor blending. I also have a 1973 Jefferson Nickel with full steps with very minor blending. I'd like to see what they are worth. Can you help me?

You would have to start with the grade of the coin. Any value would be based on that and the steps. Welcome to CT.

Your best course of action is to see if you can take decent photos of the coins, then post them in a new thread. Once you create a new thread with photos, I would be more than happy to give you my opinion of the grade and steps of each coin.
