1953 nickel near mint found in circulation

    I would say that it is AU. It definitely hasn't seen much circulation.

    Ok guys I don't know it's grade but to my blind eye it looks really great I'm not familiar enough with the grading just yet but will be one day but had to post this one that I received in pocket change

    No my blind eye because my eye sight is fading I really have to look under a big magnifier to see them and yes normally naked eye

    AU as Paddy posted with Lincoln cents is Almost uncirculated.
    On AU's the high points on the coin will show a slight rub, or loss of luster.

    XF, way too circulated and scratched up for AU.
    It's worth a nickel. If you like it, put it into a 2x2 coin flip and save it.

    I am still at AU, there is no chance that it is UNC. THe point I am at is that xf shows more wear than this, bag marks nicks scratches are one thing. I don't see enough actual wear to call it lower.

    There is nice luster on the obv in the OP, but the rev is not AU.
    And that will bring down the grade.
