Found two 1983 D Lincoln RPMs, very similar to each other but I'm not able to find this type on doubleddie or varietyvista. It's not a tilted D and the doubling is on the bottom extending to the bottom curve. I think it's both RPMs but I'm ready for MD/DDD lol.

    IMHO.. Plating issue not RPM's
Common on Copper Plated Zinc Cents

I would go MDD, the numerals show a lessened effect in the same direction. Sorry , Jim

There is a plating issue but it's under the doubling, it maybe MD as desertgem said. Thanks!

When you said "MDD", was that a typo and you meant MD? I just saw someone use the same and said it's Machine Damage Doubling, I've never seen that terminology before...is that what you meant also?

They are both used. MD= Machine doubling. MDD= machine doubling damage. I don't use Machine damage doubling, but assume it is the same. Jim
