Hello everyone Just browsing through ebay and came across this site https://www.ebay.com/itm/Extremely-...134269&hash=item25f8635ce5:g:PJYAAOSwetxbDBvq It said this coin is a copper-nickel and I assume that is why they are asking for thousands of dollars. My question is how do you tell if you have a copper-nickel? Is it the weight? If so what would the weight be? Would love your opinions please Thank you
The color of copper-nickel is different from bronze. It is the same color as a pre-2012 10 and 5 pence or US nickel.
Read this article. I think the e-bay poster thinks they found a rarity when, in fact they have a normal business strike coin. http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/experts/article-1678228/Have-I-found-a-2p-coin-worth-700.html
