Well 20 rolls at $1.25 (short roll) each is $25. They are just mass produced nickels to me. But whatever floats your boat.
I say open the worst ended roll and show us the top two coins of the roll. Give us your best evaluation of each coin, you can't learn a hole lot unless you become vulnerable to criticism.
Yes to me it's just face value. If you have a collector who wants to pay a premium for this, I say go for it. But if you have to pay shipping and fees you are going to lose money on the deal. To be honest in ten years it's going to be worth $25. But let's wait and see. And remember in ten years, $25 is going to be worth around $15 today.
Here are my options Keep and wait for ten years for possible value increase. Break open to look for speared buffalo error Possibly sell now for $30
No, there are plenty of gems within the rolls you have. I have yet to figure out why I have 50$ in 2007D Lincoln's, Been stashed in an ammo can for years. OK call it 49.50 because I opened two rolls.
If you are looking for errors, a big raised gash across the rib cage of a buffalo will catch your eye. I hope @cpm9ball is doing ok? Look for flash and cartwheeling luster.
I recently helped a freind with a collection inherited from his father. His father was a big buffalo nickel lover. He apparently continued that love with what he labeled “new Buffalo’s”. And boy howdy did he have stacks and stacks of them in bank rolls. Well, every one of em went to the bank to be released back into the Wild.... They are interesting but doubtful if they will ever be worth more than face in our lifetime anyway.
isn't it 25 nickels .. as IT STATES printed on it "Twenty-Five Nickels of the United States of America" The $ dollar signs are just printed along the edges. Don't confuse the two. So they took mint rolls; and then rerolled them to half rolls. Are they still considered uncirculated ?
